Getting Here:
Arizona Sky Village is nearly equidistant from both the Tucson International Airport and the El Paso International Airport. Visitors should take I-10 East from Tucson or I-10 West from El Paso and then follow the detailed directions provided in the printer-friendly MS Word® document attached to the following link:
Directions to ASV:
Option A from Tucson (follows mainly paved roads; is longer but less dusty. Recommended for RVs):
Follow I-10 East passing Benson, Willcox, Bowie, and San Simon & staying on I-10 into New Mexico.
Exit I-10 at Exit 5 - "Road Forks" .
Follow NM SR-80 South for approximately 30 miles (be certain to abide by the speed limits on this road).
Just before NM SR-80 reaches Rodeo, NM, you will see signs for the Chiricahua Monument and for Portal on your right.
Turn Right onto CR-533 for approximately five to six miles.
Just before entering Portal a gravel road named Foothills Road will intersect on the right.
Turn Right onto Foothills Road (a sign for Crown Dancer Estates is located at this intersection). Travel approximately one mile, passing a number of streets on the right including Canadian and Crissal.
If going to Welcome Center, proceed past Eagle Path until you see sign for Arizona Sky Village on right. There is a large observatory in the side yard.

Option B from Tucson (takes you along unimproved roads for 25 miles; okay except immediately following rain. Can be quite dusty. Not recommended for RVs):
From Tucson: Follow I-10 East passing Benson, Willcox, and Bowie. (Watch for billboards for the 4K Truck Stop, which is shortly before the turnoff. You will exit I-10 just west of San Simon.)Exit I-10 at Exit 382 - "Portal Road/San Simon" (A large commercial truck scale is located there). After you exit to the right, you'll see a sign for "Portal Road 2". It's actually closer to 25 miles; the number 5 is missing). Turn Right onto Noland Road. It later changes its name to Foothills Road and is only paved for the first approximately 10 miles. Follow the signs toward Portal at each fork in the road.
If going to Welcome Center, proceed until you see sign for Arizona Sky Village on left.
There is a large observatory in the side yard.
